Often our physical, emotional, and relational health are neglected until they demand our attention. Whether engaging with mental health care for the first time or with prior experiences, it is essential that my clients feel their needs and priorities are understood. They should be empowered to develop a deeper understanding of difficult experiences in life as well as to explore solutions. It is my belief that people are most able to thrive when working with someone who can help them create a personalized plan and sees the whole person, in their context, rather than a symptom checklist or problem.
As a Nurse Practitioner who is dual-board certified and experienced in Family Practice as well as Psychiatry-Mental Health, I bring a well-rounded, integrative approach and perspective to my work with clients. I enjoy helping people improve their quality of life through wellness, self-awareness, and meaningful engagement in the healing process.
In my practice I strive toward a holistic and collaborative partnership with my clients, and enjoy service as a supervisor for psychodynamic therapy for PGY-3 residents at UF. I offer psychiatric evaluations and assessments. Treatment plans may include medication and medical recommendations, psychotherapy, behavioral and lifestyle interventions.
