I also have a strong history of helping students and parents navigate their educational rights, including at the college level. I mediate custody arrangements and troubled parent relationships, and I support parents dealing with behavioral difficulties in children or adolescents. Dr. Johnson is bilingual (Spanish and English) and a Board-certified psychiatrist. She is welcoming new patients seeking professional help for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD and other mental health concerns. With medical education at UCLA and specialty training at the University of Pennsylvania, she combines knowledge of psychopharmacology with a nuanced understanding of patients' concerns and experiences with medications. Michelle completed her post master's certificate in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program at Robert Morris University and her master's degree in nursing at the University of Pittsburgh. She has half a decade of experience working in behavioral health and over 20 years of experience in health care in general, including private practice, hospitals, home care, and most recently a pediatrician's office where she worked as part of the integrated care team. ‍

Melanie Valenti is a Board Certified Doctor of Nursing Practitioner (DNP) specializing in Psychiatry and Mental Health at the Nexus Group. She completed her doctorate degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the Nexus Group, Melanie had over 6 years of experience working at Western Psychiatric Hospital, caring for children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and ADHD.

Typically those who need guidance and techniques to apply to their everyday life to help them be successful in work and other parts of life. This can include medication management, therapy techniques and also non-pharm strategies including proper sleep routines, enjoyable exercise, or hobbies they enjoy.
