Jessica Meeks is a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has also been trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention. She received her master's degree from Northern Kentucky University and received her undergrad from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. With over 15 years of inpatient critical care experience, Jessica was interested in how mental health can facilitate overall wellness which led to her pursuit of providing outpatient mental health care.

Dr. Joseph Fondriest completed his psychiatry residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General / Summa Health where he served as chief resident and psychiatry representative for resident staff council. He received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, and his bachelor's degree and computer science minor from Miami University. He specializes in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, and personality disorders. He places a heavy emphasis on listening closely to patients. He utilizes a team-based approach to mental healthcare, working alongside patients and their therapists.

Dr. Kyle Resnick completed his psychiatry residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General / SummaHealth, where he served as chief resident and earned the Intern of the Year award. During residency, Dr. Resnick gained experience working with adults in outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospital settings. He earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University and undergraduate degrees from Miami University of Ohio in zoology, neuroscience, and classical antiquities. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

They could have a variety of diagnoses but the thing they have in common is they are willing to give the process time, are open to new ideas, and know there is no magic pill to fix all their problems. My patients want to get to the best version of themselves and are willing to try therapy as well as medications to help them reach that goal. My patient wants an empathetic, listening provider who can guide their care based on the evidence, but tailored to their individual needs.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

People with mental health disorders are affected in many ways due to the nature of the problem. These individuals need stability and want to be well. My goal of treatment is to reduce their symptoms so that it will not impact their daily functioning and so they can live a fruitful and healthy life.

I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

My ideal client would understand that the journey to wellness and recovery requires time, effort, and patience. They would be receptive to treatment suggestions which may include psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and medication options. I am a board certified, licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner trained to treat clients ages 12-65. I have several years of experience in diagnosing and treating a variation of psychiatric and substance use disorders in adolescents and adults. I have a background in inpatient as well as outpatient psychiatry. I focus on trauma informed care for my patients and provide pharmacological interventions in conjunction with nonpharmacological treatment modalities to best treat symptoms of mental illness and addiction.

My interest in Psychology began by spending time with my stepfather, who was a psychiatrist. I became very interested in schizophrenia in 7th grade, which was a surprise to my teacher. I remember my stepfather helping me figure out how to pronounce medications during a trip to see my grandparents. In college, in the 1980’s, I volunteered for a domestic violence shelter/suicide hotline. I took every Psychology course offered by my undergraduate university as my electives.
