Dr. Senter studied psychology at Brown University. She attended medical school at Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She subsequently completed her residency in psychiatry at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where she served as a chief resident and worked with the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder research group.
