With over 15 years experience, my expertise in this holistic approach is conducting psychiatric assessments, medication evaluations and implementing/ managing pharmacological interventions.

I am now accepting adult clients in my new practice for medication management. I have experience with various psychiatric disorders and can help you develop a medication regime that works for you.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of NY, and I am so excited you are taking the next step or first step in your mental health journey. I have been in the medical field for over ten years and psychiatry specifically for over eight years. I have worked in emergency psychiatry services as well as outpatient mental health as a medication management provider, treating all ages and all psychiatric diagnoses. You can look to me to be your partner in this journey as I believe in the least amount of medication needed, along with being upfront on what may help you succeed.

Please contact the office after September 1, 2022 to schedule new patient intake appointments and follow up appointments. If you are an existing patient you will not require an initial intake at the new location. All initial intakes are required to be in-person.

I am an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and use a shared decision making model/ trauma informed care to provide evaluation, treatment and medication management. I have worked in the mental health field as a nurse/ counselor since 1988, and decided I wanted to further my career as an NP so went back to school in 2015 when my children were older. I have worked in many areas in psychiatry and feel that experience has only improved my practice to be more comprehensive and well rounded.

Having grown up in an economically disadvantaged community, I witnessed the toll that mental illness can take on individuals and their families; and having raised three children on my own, I know what it is to struggle. I understand that it can be challenging to navigate mental health concerns, and I am here to support adults aged 18-64 in living fulfilling lives while managing issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and addiction/medication-assisted treatment.

I offer services to both pediatric and adult clients, ages 8 + up at my small privately owned practice; Manifest Wellness. Appointments can be conducted in person or virtually via telehealth.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist, licensed in New York. I have trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family and marital therapy. I have always felt that the brain is the most important and neglected organ in the body, and taking care of the brain is the key to well being. I take a holistic approach to care, evaluating for physical, nutrition, hormones, situational and psychodynamic causes of illness, whilst practicing evidence based psychiatry. I have a background in integrative psychiatry and HIV psychiatry. I believe that everyone has value, and everyone deserves the best care.

Cynthia Miller is a well-rounded Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who provides exceptional care. Her passion for the mental health field began while serving eleven years as a medic in the military. She has a unique prospective on providing care as she has both experienced and observed fellow service members overcome their struggle with mental health following her return from two separate tours of duty in Afghanistan. Throughout her military career she earned several distinguished awards for her exceptional performance. Following her military career she worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital where she gained vital knowledge.
