I have extensive training in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. I prefer to see patients for both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, although I am open to working with other therapists. I have affiliation with both NYU and Lenox Hill Hospital and enjoy teaching both psychiatry residents and medical students as a voluntary attending. I provide patient focused therapy. I believe that everyone responds differently to different treatment and the best way to achieve their goals is to take a collaborative approach.

I have successfully treated patients who suffer from Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Insomnia, Bipolar Disorder, Dementia, Hallucinations and Delusions as well as addiction and alcoholism. I have worked with patients as young as 2 years old and as old as 105 years old.

Many of my patients found only temporary relief from prior treatments and are interested in a real change. If you are motivated and prefer someone who does not recommend medications easily and believes in getting to the root of problems, I may be the person for you. I am a very experienced clinician, providing individualized treatment based on thorough assessment and refers you to therapists who would be a better match for you. I have trained at Cornell and Columbia and I am on the faculty at both places. I am a training and supervising analyst at Columbia and am expert in TFP (Transference Focused Psychotherapy).

I am a dual board certified psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry, and have clinical experience in a wide range of settings with diverse patient population. I am trained to provide a variety of behavioral and medical treatments for helping children and adults of all ages. With patients and families, I like to work as a team to address their individual needs.

I am a board certified psychiatrist with extensive experience in psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment. I have a special interest in women's mental health issues that include mood disorders related to menstruation, pregnancy and postpartum, as well as menopause and other life transitions. I enjoy providing comprehensive and compassionate psychiatric treatment that may include psychotherapy (talk therapy) and medication when appropriate. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and earned my MD from Jefferson Medical College. I completed my Psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai (NYC) where I received extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My specialties are in the areas of mood, anxiety and eating disorders. I am also trained and certified as a health coach by The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have maintained a private practice in Scarsdale since 2005 and I am now thrilled to be able to offer my services to patients in Florida via my telemedicine practice.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist, licensed in New York. I have trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family and marital therapy. I have always felt that the brain is the most important and neglected organ in the body, and taking care of the brain is the key to well being. I take a holistic approach to care, evaluating for physical, nutrition, hormones, situational and psychodynamic causes of illness, whilst practicing evidence based psychiatry. He offers thoughtful and through evaluation, diagnosis and discussion of options in person and online. He is full clinical professor at New York Medical College, as well as Leader of the Psychotherapy Caucus of the American Psychiatric Association and President Elect of the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration. His years of practice and teaching other therapists allow him to give patients confidence in navigating the maze of mental health treatments and choices.

My ideal client is motivated to build a therapeutic relationship that goes well beyond just a prescription. Currently, I only offer services via telehealth, so one must be comfortable with utilizing that platform. A physical office space is in my near future, but even then, I intend to offer hybrid care for the convenience and comfort of my clients. My ideal client wishes to gain insight and clarity through the psychiatric evaluation process and also find balance and quality of life via ongoing treatment.

My practice is focused on medication management for adults . My background is as an RN for 26 years, focusing in Women's Health, prior to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2008 working in settings across the country to include NY, Arizona, Iowa, Minnesota and Alaska.
