Fred Dwarka, a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, moved from Ghana to the U.S. to pursue nursing and graduated from Hunter College with a specialization in psychiatric care. He provides holistic and culturally sensitive mental health services, emphasizing the importance of understanding each patient’s unique needs and goals. Fred believes in the power of building strong relationships and contextualizing medication management as part of a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each individual's well-being.

We are an expanding practice, currently accepting new clients for medication management, offering fairly immediate availability for new intakes. I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and I have been very fortunate to have been trained by experts in the field on how to optimally diagnose and treat individuals with OCD and related disorders as well as comorbid diagnoses. I am a professional member of the IOCDF as well as the TLC Foundation for BFRBs. Although I do specialize in OCD, I also do accept, and treat, adult patients across the entire diagnostic spectrum.
