I have worked with patients from ages 6 and up, with a wide range of psychiatric needs. Hi there! My name is Dr. Brittany Vasquez and I am dual board certified as an adult and child and adolescent psychiatrist. I specialize in the treatment of young adults (<35 yo), teens, and children who may need help with depression, anxiety, ADHD, adjustment, trauma (childhood), autism spectrum disorder, and emerging longer term mood and psychotic disorders. Originally from Appalachia and having returned home, I am excited to be starting private practice at the established and historic Carolina Mountain Psychiatry.

Liz Vaughan is a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with a specialty focus in Pediatric Mental and Behavioral Health. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Duke University in 2019. Liz received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing also from Duke University in 2014. Liz has 7 years of previous pediatric nursing experience, ranging from intensive care, to cardiac, to pediatric oncology/bone marrow transplant, to outpatient neurology and mental health. During her MSN coursework at Duke, Liz was one of the first students to take part in the Pediatric Mental Behavioral Health Specialty program.

I am a Board Certified PMHNP, with experience working with adults and adolescents with varied psychiatric disorders including, but not limited to ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, Alcohol and Substance use disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders to name a few. I also enjoy working with the older adult/geriatric population with disorders that include, but are not limited to Major Neurocognitive disorders, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia. I use a patient centered approach to patient care, with emphasis on providing psychoeducation to patients and their families.

I am a board certified psychiatrist and see patients ages 18 and above. I help people struggling with relationship, work and school problems, low motivation, social anxiety, isolation, communication issues and low self-esteem. My goal is to help you lead a full life to the best of your abilities.

Christine is the daughter of a refugee from Vietnam; she grew up listening to the stories of her mother and the other Vietnamese survivors in her community. It was her first exposure to the power of healing through listening and the importance of caring for yourself physically and mentally. Christine wanted to learn more to help others who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders.
