Katie Macaluso is a physician assistant who specializes in medication management for a variety of psychiatric conditions. She completed her PA program at Philadelphia University and began her career in psychiatry working in a crisis response center. She has treated patients in inpatient, detox, rehab and outpatient settings. She has worked with an array of patient populations and treats conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood, and psychotic disorders. She collaborates with a NC board certified physician as required by the states and utilizes evidence-based approach in her care plan.

Maria MacDougall is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management services. After working at a psychiatric facility as an inpatient nurse, she entered and graduated from the nurse practitioner program at Anderson University. She is currently accepting new patients at Amica Mental Health, a practice based in Asheville that serves Western North Carolina. She specializes in medication management for adults.

Dr. Lucy Magda ("Dr. Lucy") is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, born and raised on the eastern shore of Maryland. She began her registered nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she worked to stabilize the most critically ill patients. It is there that her interest in mental health flourished as she witnessed first-hand how essential mental health is for the overall wellbeing of her patients. She realized that there is no health without mental health.

In my role as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Bluesky Telepsych, I am dedicated to providing the best quality of care that I can in order to improve each patient’s quality of living. I am privileged to serve our patients and will constantly seek to earn the trust placed in my care. My main goal in this field is to elevate a patient’s quality of living and to assist them in achieving their fullest potential. She has a total of ten years of experience including four years in an inpatient psychiatric hospital where she was the lead medical provider. This experience led her to pursue her post-master's psychiatric mental health education from Maryville University of St. Louis. She works with children and adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, and various other mental health concerns. She is committed to providing compassionate care that focuses on therapeutic rapport while following evidence-base guidelines.

I am an ANCC board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 10 years of nursing experience including child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. At AH Prescribing, I help patients determine how medication may fit into their overall mental health care by developing authentic connections and staying up to date on current therapies.

Erin is a Cary/Raleigh native and is passionate about giving back to her local health care community. She treats patients 5-years-old to 64-years-old suffering from anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and ODD.

I believe that no one should be made to feel guilty about their struggles with mental health, and that everyone deserves to have a safe place to talk about these issues. Just as every person is unique, there is no one right way to treat mental illness. I strive to approach each individual with this in mind, knowing that they may have been through many treatment options already. I know this can be a challenging and frustrating process, but I will listen to your concerns and work with you through the journey.

Evelyn Majachani is dual-board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She received her Master of Science degree in Nursing and her post-graduate certification at Maryville University in St Louis, Missouri. Evelyn has worked as an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner providing outpatient, community psychiatry treatment to patients with severe mental illness, as well as with geriatric patients in nursing homes, assisted living, and independent living facilities in North Carolina.

Dr. Heather Mak is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She received her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed her Internship & residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Before joining the outpatient psychiatry team at CareMind Health/Mindoula Clinical Services, Dr. Mak worked as a Staff Psychiatrist for the San Diego Amer. Indian Health Center and for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Mak has held a Faculty position with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Mak is currently a Navy Reserve Officer.

The journey towards mental health and wellness is a marathon and not a race. As a dually certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, the foundation of my training is seeing and treating the person holistically. My goal is to partner with each individual client to foster the highest quality of life which is sustainable over time. Daniela Marques, a dedicated Physician Assistant, brings four years of experience in Internal Medicine to her transition into psychiatry, driven by a profound passion for prioritizing the mental wellbeing of her patients. Her previous experience has provided a foundation in addressing a broad spectrum of both physical and mental health concerns.

Dr. Michelle Maust was a doctor in the United States Army and has the knowledge and tools to help those working through crises. Dr. Maust specializes in adults suffering from anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia.

Julie McClure, PA-C is joining Beautiful Mind Behavioral Health Services as a psychiatry physician assistant practitioner. She has previously spent nearly 10 years working with children and adults with rare metabolic disorders. In addition to being certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board, Julie is a registered dietitian. She has a particular interest in treating patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic attacks, depression, bipolar, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), substance abuse and disordered eating.
