I am a psychiatrist and psychotherapist with an office conveniently located at Union Square. I offer comprehensive treatment for adolescents and adults who struggle with all kinds of emotional, relationship, and self-esteem problems. I work with patients to help them gain an understanding of behaviors that may be causing problems, an understanding which ultimately can lead to change.
Although my expertise is in psychodynamic therapy, I use an integrative approach, combining psychodynamic, supportive and behavioral treatments, along with medications when necessary, to help obtain results.
I am board-certified and completed psychiatric training at the University of Pennsylvania, where I was elected by my peers and faculty to serve as Chief Resident. I was honored to be awarded the Kenneth D. Cohen Award for excellence in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am currently affiliated with Columbia University.
