I specialize in treatment resistant DEPRESSION. I am board certified by ANCC for Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatric Mental Health with 25+ years of experience. Our team at Depression Doctors utilize evidence based and FDA approved treatments supported with solid research in treating your depression. In addition to medication management, our practice offers traditional talk therapy and cutting edge treatments for though-to-treat major depression: TMS Therapy and Spravato (Esketamine) treatment. Served as a consultant to the Renfrew Center an eating disorder and women's mental health facility. As Director of Medical Education at Crozer-Chester Hospital I have taught medical students and residents. In practice for 20 years, I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist.

Prior to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Perlmutter was the Chair of Behavioral Health and Addiction Services at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. Prior to Bergen New Bridge, she was the Director of Inpatient Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center-Wakefield, in New York. Over 35 years, Dr. Perlmutter has held numerous leadership roles with some of the largest hospital systems in the New York Metro Area.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, adult ADHD, and women's mental health. My approach is to understand your values and struggles in order to design a personalized treatment plan together with you. This may include medications, psychotherapy, or a combination of both. I am a former practicing OB/GYN who then changed career paths to Psychiatry to focus on treatment of the patient as a whole.
