Majority of my practice is psychopharmacology ( prescribing psychiatric medications) and individual/ family counseling.I treat a variety of mental health disorders such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder , obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Welcome to my practice. I am a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse board certified as a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health. I have 20 years of experience providing psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy and medication management to individuals, couples and families. Previous experience as a critical care nurse for 20 years provides me with additional knowledge of medical illnesses and how they contribute to mental health issues.

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I have over 40 years of experiencein conducting psychiatric evaluation and medication management as well as helping clients cope with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and adjustment to life cycle changes. I work collaboratively with clients to establish a trusting, mutually respectful and supportive relationship, set goals, build upon strengths to increase confidence self-esteem, and work toward solving issues which often cause people to feel stuck. Medication is a major tool to address the psychiatric diagnoses and addiction.

Dr. Leopold Bolona is a compassionate psychiatrist in private practice in Westfield and Brick, and Freehold NJ seeing adults only at this time. The practice has 9 Nurse Practioners offering comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and individualized treatment for a variety of issues such as: Depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, addiction and more. 6 Therapist ready to assist all of our patients. Victory Bay offers a variety of client-centered programs treating Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health. We help our clients successfully detox from drugs and alcohol in a comfortable inpatient or outpatient setting. Accommodations will be made for 24 hour staffing and clients will be cared for by licensed staff including Psychiatrists, APN, RN, etc. Detox is an individualized process, and we have found that a holistic approach is ideal when trying to successfully treat substance use disorder.
