Dr. Berberian is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Neurologist who has extensive experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, PSTD, OCD, ADHD, mood disorders, weight loss, smoking cessation, neuropathies, headaches and addiction. In addition, he performs outpatient bariatric screening, biofeedback, neurofeedback and EEG evaluations. I started my career as a child psychiatrist and a researcher 20 years ago. I was interested not only in biological basis of mental disorders, but in psychotherapy and the concept of change. Upon immigration to the US, I studied among influential psychiatrists and therapists in New York and Boston. Currently I work in inpatient and outpatient settings, supervise medical students, and conduct psychiatric research. As I have been for the past 20 years, I am still fascinated with the amazing, complex process of individual development.

I am General Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist and specialize in helping children, adolescents, and adults across developmental span. I completed my Psychiatry training at Rutgers/UMDNJ and Child/Adolescent Fellowship at Columbia-Cornell NYPH program. I stayed on for 6 years, as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Columbia University, and served as an Associate Director of Pediatric Psychiatry Emergency & Consultation-Liaison Services of Children's Hospital of NY (MSCHONY). What I find most rewarding is individual clinical work. For the past 10 years, I focused on this in my private practice & continue to cherish every moment

With more than 25 years of experience in the Mental Health field, I began to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner after graduating from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2013.
