I am board certified Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience. I provide a safe and emphatic space for my clients. I will prepare a customized treatment plan which may include pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities. I utilize the most current and comprehensive regimens. My focus is on wellness and prevention. I provide evening and Saturday office hours as well as video-psychiatry/visits. I also provide assessments and letters for emotional support animal in NYC. I am able to prescribe medical cannabis in New York State/City.

My approach is to help people with problems with love and work. There are two kinds of love: (1) human sexuality and (2) love writ large as mutual affection and caring. Work provides a livable income, food and shelter, and a sense of success. It can be unsatisfactory, compounded by clashes between employers or among the workers themselves. When love and work are threatened by loss, the reaction may be one of anxiety, all the way to panic. When love and work get lost, the reaction will be grief or depression, low self-esteem, helplessness and hopelessness, even an urge to die.

My goal is to create a safe space in which my patients can be curious about themselves and their lives to freely address issues concerning mood, anxiety, diminished motivation, poor concentration, loneliness, work dissatisfaction, relationship difficulties, struggles around identity and existential questions.

I practice in the Binghamton area of Broome County, NY and specialize in adult psychiatry. After doing my training at Rutgers Medical School, Brown University School of Medicine and Weill Cornell Medical Center I have practiced adult psychiatry for 25 years. Most of my practice is in the medication management of depression, anxiety, Bipolar disorder and psychosis. I also am trained in supportive therapy, CBT and DBT.
