I'm a psychotherapist and board-certified psychiatrist who provides medication management, psychotherapy, and combination treatment. I help to manage a wide array of psychiatric challenges you may be facing including mood disorders, anxiety, panic, OCD, personality disorders, and difficulties with identity and/or relationships. My practice is informed by a personalized and warm approach where I will work collaboratively with you to develop treatment for your specific goals.

Doctor Sindhu completed her residency at Bergen Regional Medical Centre in New Jersey and thereafter undertook to complete two Fellowships, one in Schizophrenia Research at Albert Einstein College Of Medicine and another in Geriatric Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center, New York. Doctor Sindhu is an Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist at South Beach Psychiatric Centre in Staten Island, New York, and also, at Northwell Staten Island University Medical Center. Dr. Sindhu also worked as an outpatient Psychiatrist.

I am a board certified adult and child psychiatrist, and I'm also board certified in integrative and holistic medicine. I treat anxiety, attention, and mood difficulties, including adult and child ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, and depression. When necessary, I recommend medication, with the lowest effective doses. I recommend traditional and natural treatments along with practical suggestions about communication, lifestyle, and stress management. I am on faculty at NYU School of Medicine.

Alexandra is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in New York with experience in treating children/adolescents and adults. She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at one of the nation's leading institutes, Columbia University School of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from NYU. Her approach toward mental health is holistic and integrative, with a focus on biological, psychological, and sociological factors that contribute to mental health and wellness.

I specialize in multiple treatment modalities including medication management, therapy, and integrative treatment, all intended to support your mental well-being. Dr. Mullenix is a board-certified adult psychiatrist who strives to form strong therapeutic and collaborative environments with patients and values patient empowerment. Dr. Mullenix received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. His interests and expertise are in helping patients struggling with depression, anxiety including social/obsessive compulsive and generalized anxiety disorders and ADHD. He provides psychiatric medication management along with supportive, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other modalities.

With 6 years with a psychiatric nurse experience and 2 years with an FNP experience, she has treated patients with acute and chronic depression, anxiety and panic, ADHD, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychosis, among others.

Dr. Francesco Ferrari is a dual-board certified psychiatrist with extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. His holistic approach focuses on comprehensive diagnosis and personalized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy, medication, or other evidence-based practices. He specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, OCD, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+ mental health concerns.

Rachel Waters is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Rachel’s treatment philosophy incorporates the mind and body. She conducts thorough patient assessments that factor in medical or biological contributors to behaviors, referring patients to resources when needed. Her goal is to enrich her patients’ lives so they can embrace life – the good and the bad. Rachel’s patients can expect to establish a trusting relationship with her as they receive individualized, evidence-based care.

Would you like a warm and experienced psychiatrist to help you overcome your difficulties? I have extensive experience with all variety of emotional and psychiatric issues, having worked with adults in hospital, community and office settings. I provide psychotherapy for the individual, with or without medication management. I also will provide medication management alone if desired. Pharmacogenetic testing is an exciting technology which allows for selection of medications without trial and error. I now provide this testing (simple cheek swab), analysis and counseling. Test kits can be sent directly to patient.

Hi! I’m a New York City-based double-board certified psychiatrist working with adults, adolescents, and children. My work centers around psychotherapy; including developmentally appropriate psychodynamic, CBT, and play therapies. In addition, my approach to psychiatric medications is to meet individuals and families where they are at. I work with people who want to seek deeper growth and meaning without numbing what makes them human. As for my background – I trained at BU and Mount Sinai, and have worked at both The New School and as lead psychiatrist at the Columbia University Medical Center counseling center.

Dr. Thomas Spina is an adult psychiatrist beginning his practice at Talkiatry after completing his psychiatry residency at the Eastern Long Island branch of Stony Brook University where he treated a diverse patient population. Dr. Spina received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in Queens where he studied Philosophy. Initially interested in a career in law, Dr. Spina decided to change gears and pursue a career in medicine after watching a relative struggle with her diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus.

Dr. Viga Naik takes a holistic approach when practicing, understanding the importance of an integrative treatment care model. She believes optimal patient care goes beyond psychopharmacology and requires incorporation of psychotherapy and psychosocial intervention. She's a strong advocate for her patients dedicated to being an educator of mental illness to break self, societal and systemic stigmas. She believes a strong therapeutic alliance between clinician and patient is essential.
