I specialize in providing care to adolescent and adults that struggle with acute or chronic depression, anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychosis, among others. I understand the vulnerability that comes with sharing your in-depth symptoms.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist practicing in NY, NJ, and via telehealth. I completed psychiatry residency training at Columbia University and I am now an Instructor in Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia. I work with clients struggling with a wide range of mental health problems, including stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, work and school issues. I specialize in both medication management and psychotherapy for the treatment of the following psychiatric conditions: anxiety, panic, depression, OCD, and adult ADHD.

Dr. Underriner is a board certified Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He completed his residency at New York University. His approach to treatment is holistic, taking into account the entire person, and emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic bond to help people reduce suffering and achieve their goals. He works with people struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Dr. Underriner has maintained an interest in teaching and remains connected to the psychiatry department at NYU. He has supervised and taught junior residents and medical students.
