I have almost twenty years experience in the healthcare field, with a specialty in emergency medicine and patient care management. I earned my Master of Nursing Degree from Walden University, with a specialization in Mental Health and Psychiatry. More people are struggling to keep up with their mental health now more than in the past. The reasons are not far-fetched. Anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and increase illicit substance use have increased on a larger scale. People want to live well; approach their daily chores/activities without anxiety, depression or mood instability. A lot of us go through mild anxiety and depression and we can still function. But when we can no longer enjoy the activities we are use to, then we need to seek help.

Dr. Saxena is a licensed Psychiatrist in New Jersey and New York, specializing in both Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Saxena has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, Veterans population, and emergency settings. Additionally, he also has an extensive experience on the academic front training both medical students and Psychiatry resident physicians in NY and NJ. He is trained in multiple therapy approaches such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), psychotherapy, medication management, or combination.

I enjoy helping clients work toward feeling their best by medically treating and coaching them toward their greatest potential to live a more rewarding life. Due to my background of working with critically ill clients, as well as acute psychiatric and co-morbid illnesses, I am prepared to assist my clients in their journey towards better health.
