I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner. My goal is to work with clients to identify medication needs to address psychiatric symptoms in order to improve their quality of life. I believe strongly that medications can be a tool to help people function, however, I do not believe that they are the whole answer for people. Ideally, they are just one tool that patients may choose to utilize on the path to feeling better.

Our ideal client is one who is motivated and dedicated to improving their overall mental health and well-being. They will actively participate in their treatment plan and help to define the goals and modality of their treatment.

Helen Lancy is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s in Nursing from Spring Arbor University, pursuing a Doctor of Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Missouri. With four years of adult-gerontology psychiatry experience, she specializes in anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma in adults 18+. Passionate about providing evidence-based, compassionate care, Helen is dedicated to serving patients from diverse backgrounds, particularly those in underserved communities. Helen champions patient empowerment, guiding her patients to take control of their health and emotional wellbeing.

We all have experiences, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that influence who we are. We are a product of all of this and our relationships. My approach is to provide you care with psychoeducation, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy. Psychotherapy has terrific benefits, and sometimes more help is needed. I prefer an integrated, holistic approach to each client, considering who you are and how we can support you to live your most fulfilled life.

I received my Masters of Science in Nursing from Rivier University in 2022 specializing in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. Prior to this, I was a psychiatric and mental health registered nurse for 9 years on a locked acute inpatient behavioral and mental health unit. I found my passion for those who suffer from mental health while serving 9 years in the United States Navy. I am compassionate and caring and use a direct approach in caring for my patients.
