I knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare field since high school, so I decided to pursue my dream. After graduating nursing school, I worked in the hospital for a total of 8 years before making the decision to advance my education to become a nurse practitioner. I wanted to ensure that I spent time educating and promoting exceptional care so that I could end the loop of continuous hospitalizations.

Dr. Katherine Laubach is a Psychiatrist who has been practicing in North Carolina since 2021. Dr. Laubach is passionate about patient centered care and focuses on treating each patient as an individual who has their own unique needs. As a part of her philosophy of patient centered care, she does not typically prescribe the chronic use of benzodiazepines (Xanax, Ativan, Valium, Klonopin, etc) and if obtaining a prescription for this type of medication is your primary reason for seeking a psychiatrist, she may not be the best fit for you and your goals. She has worked in medical, psychiatric, and community health settings. She has also worked in the field, specifically in ADHD. LaToya has witnessed others struggling with the burden of mental illness and felt compelled to make a difference. She is most passionate about destigmatizing mental illness and helping patients improve their quality of life.
