Hi, I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are dealing with OCD and mood disorders. I also specialize in working with healthcare professionals. Before becoming a PMHNP, my inspiration to pursue this path came from seeing my family member struggle with OCD as well as my coworkers experience burn out, fatigue, and stress, especially during COVID-19. These experiences ignited a deep desire in me to assist people in optimizing both their physical and mental health, so that we not just survive, but thrive!
With over 13 years experience in the ICU and as part of the leadership team, I have created successful programs for nurses focused on navigating their challenging work, leading to a 30% reduction in nursing turnover. I offer both group and individual sessions for healthcare professionals and individual sessions for those with OCD and mood related challenges.
I bring compassion and a deep understanding of the challenges that come with mental health issues and healthcare related burnout to my practice. In our sessions, I emphasize evidence-based treatments like ERP & ACT, along with medications when they can be beneficial.
