Dr. Moni Baidya is double board-certified in adult psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry. She has been practicing for over 6 years. She strongly believes developing a good therapeutic rapport with a patient is an important milestone to start any treatment. Dr. Baidya’s practice focuses on medication management. Normally, she combines this in conjunction with supportive or psychodynamic therapy in 20 -30-minute follow-up- visits. However, Dr. Baidya may believe that additional therapy is crucial and advise you to bring a therapist on board to provide the best outcome.
She has worked with a number of patients who have complex medical problems that affect the patient’s emotional health. This led her to believe in holistic care and working with the interdisciplinary team and family members when possible.
In addition to general adult psychiatry, she is also board certified in Geriatric Psychiatry and trained in women’s health. Her primary clinical focus has been treating women with mood and anxiety disorder and geriatric patients with new-onset of psychiatric problems.
