This individualized treatment prioritizes the important mind body connection we humans share. My core experience has been treating anxiety and mood spectrum disorders, substance use disorders, and training in neuromodulation therapies for treatment resistant depression. I have > 10 years of Mental Health Nursing experience, with a trauma based treatment approach for anxiety, depression, bipolar spectrum, substance use, and psychotic disorders within inpatient, outpatient (community & private practice), and crisis service (ER and urgent care) settings.
Emotional wellness involves a combination of treatments; medications, education, therapy, and lifestyle adjustments. My role is to utilize as few meds as possible to gain max benefit, while minimizing side effects. I do not routinely prescribe benzodiazapines (Xanax/Klonopin). I am happy to assist motivated individuals to safely taper off these medications.
