My style of appointment is fostering a collaborative environment with open communication where each person feels they are able to share what is most concerning them without fear of judgement.
In my appointments, I balance use of psychiatry with additional techniques such as CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. My approach to medications is to focus on what we agree is best for your lifestyle while instilling the importance of "less is more" to help improve your quality of life rather than simply adding to your quantity of pills.
While taking a holistic perspective approach to a client interview, we will work together to determine the primary goals and treatment plan rather than the client feeling like they are being told what to do. While focusing on what is best for each individual, we will then work together to navigate each stepping stone along the journey together.
