I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who offers both psychotherapy and medication management services. I completed my undergraduate studies at Stanford University with a B.A. in Psychology with Honors and B.S. in Biological Sciences. I earned my medical degree from New York Medical College, where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society. Afterwards, I pursued my residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, where I had the privilege of working with a variety of populations at Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute, SF VA Medical Center, and SF General Hospital.
My main modality is open-ended psychotherapy. I graduated with an Area of Distinction in Psychoanalytic Psychiatry from the UCSF Psychiatry Residency Program, where I had the honor of teaching residents and medical students on psychoanalytic theory and interventions. Furthermore, I have received psychotherapy training at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
I have conducted research in sports psychiatry, specifically on mood and motivation in marathon runners. Additionally, I have had experience working in an HIV Psychiatry Clinic and leading a Gay Men's Psychodynamic Group for veterans. I have also facilitated groups on substance abuse prevention.
