I'm a Board-Certified Psychiatrist practicing in West Lake Hills, Texas. In my office, or through telepsychiatry, I treat adults, adolescents, couples and families using a broad variety of methods and techniques, and, most importantly, an empathic and non-judgmental approach. My practice is collaborative, person-centered and holistic. Working with you, I will provide psychotherapy and, when appropriate, medication management. I will take the time and strive with you to develop a plan tailored to your individual needs and wishes and to provide the best solution and the best result.
Psychiatry is both a science and an art. In addition to my practice, I am an Adjunct Professor at the Texas A&M College of Medicine and a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. I am also on the National Advisory Council of the Hogg Foundation.
I have published and co-published numerous books, chapters and papers. I am additionally Founding Editor of the journal "Philosophy, Ethics & Humanities in Medicine," Associate Editor of "Philosophy, Psychiatry & Psychology," and Founding President of the Association for the Advancement of Philosophy and Psychiatry."
