She is passionate about the overall care of the whole individual with a focus on mental, physical, and emotional wellness. Asia received her bachelor’s in nursing from Coppin State University in Maryland. She went on to work at the University of Maryland Medical Center in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for 5 years before obtaining her Master’s in Nursing for Family Nurse practitioners from Walden University.

Regardless of the psychiatric-mental health need or issue presented, the utmost objective of the PMHNP-BC is to assist the client in coordinating and managing their mental health necessities using the techniques of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery appropriate to the client’s culture and developmental stage.

My clients are ages 8 and above and are struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, personality disorders and Schizophrenia. These patients are typically in therapy or seeking therapy and require a provider to manage the medication portion of their treatment plan. These patients are seeking someone to manage their medications and provide supportive therapy.
