My goal is to help the patients function at their full capacity by addressing factors, including environmental, that may lead to mental illnesses such as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, and Schizophrenia. We offer psychotherapy that enhances your treatment, in a safe and comfortable environment. Anna Richards, CRNP, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Registered Nurse Practitioner. She brings her 10+ years of experience treating trauma disorders, mood disorders, and substance abuse as well as extensive work in crisis stabilization. She provides general psychiatry as well as ketamine-assisted therapy through infusions at our Bethesda clinic.

The nursing practice approach that I model after is the holistic/humanistic approach that helps nurture mental and emotional health, in addition to physical health. My mission is to strive to provide nonjudgmental care to those seeking help regardless of race, lifestyle choice, financial status, spiritual belief or disability, while providing holistic, safe, and patient-centered care as I build a therapeutic relationship with my clients. After completing her Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric-mental health, she worked in various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health centers.

Dr. Brody is an experienced Board Certified Psychiatrist with specialties in treating adults, adolescents, and children. His neighborhood practice treats individuals with ADHD, mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, as well as situational and family/social related disorders. He uses individual psychotherapy with an eclectic/supportive approach and will prescribe medication as needed. His focus is on creating a warm trusting environment to help his patients feel free to be as open and honest as possible.

I received my Bachelors Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in the Biological Basis of Behavior and competed on the Men's Varsity Swimming Team. After graduating and prior to medical school, I became a private high school science teacher. I completed my Psychiatry residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC, where I was selected as Chief Resident. During that time, I also completed a Psychodynamic Fellowship at New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. I then completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health with a focus on Depression and Anxiety.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.
