My 17 years of professional medical experience include outpatient care and inpatient care; including both general hospital and mental health facilities. Having been trained and employed by McLean Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, I learned a great deal about a wide variety of mental health conditions.

I am a board-certified general psychiatrist. I completed my residency training at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center, as well, as a two-year certification course in psychodynamic psychotherapy at New York Medical College Psychoanalytic Institute. I help clients resolve psychological or psychiatric problems that keep them from fully experiencing their lives. I also work with people to help them achieve their life goals. Because no two people are the same, treatment for every person should be individually tailored. I do therapy, and use medications when they are needed. Some of the therapies I use are hypnotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, couples and family therapy. I help with anxiety, mood problems, habit problems, co-morbid medical and psychiatric problems, relationship and family problems.

I am a psychiatrist in private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Services I provide include psychiatric evaluation/consultation, individual psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology for adults 18 to 65. At this point, I only provide medication management for patients whom I am working with in a regular psychotherapy. Erin Tanner, NP-C, completed her Master of Science in Nursing at MCPHS University. She is a fully licensed and accredited AANP nurse practitioner. She has dedicated over 20 years to health care, practicing as a registered nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. Erin sees patient education, paired with preventative medicine, as the keys to health and wellness. When not seeing patients, Erin enjoys spending time with her family traveling and doing outdoor activities like running, hiking, and kayaking in and around beautiful New England.

Tanya Gershman is an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health: Science, Society, and Policy from Brandeis University and her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Her interests include addiction medicine and co-occurring disorders. With an integrative mindset, she focuses on the blend of medication management and therapeutic support. Tanya is offering in-person medication management appointments in our Newton locations, as well as telehealth appointments.

Naila Tariq, APRN, is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Naila worked as a psychiatric nurse for five years before obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College and graduated summa cum laude. Naila has experience working in community mental health, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient practice, and consult psychiatry. Naila understands the struggles of finding the right psychiatric provider for her patients and wishes to provide the best evidence-based care. Naila sees patients 18 and older.

Dr. Tetyana Tarnavsky is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in Adult Psychiatry. She attended Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy in Ukraine where she received her M.D., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Psychiatry. Dr. Tarnavsky has completed her residency at Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program in MA where she was elected Chief Resident.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and as such, I can prescribe medication, if necessary, as an adjunct to psychotherapy. I worked in various healthcare including inpatient and outpatient settings providing both psychiatric and medical care. I use integrated approach to care with aims to empower individual’s authenticity to make proactive decisions and enhance his or hers ability to effectively cope with the full variety of life’s circumstances.

I am a co-founder/owner of Essentia Health and Wellness Center. I am a board certified NP in Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health and Adult Health. I graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA in 2004. Since then, I have worked in several capacities, including medical hospitalist in the behavioral units at Carney and Norwood Hospital, psychiatric consultant in skilled nursing facilities in the Boston area, and most recently at South Coast Behavioral Health and DLH Consulting and Psychiatric Services.

I continued my education and graduated with my family nurse practitioner license in 2017 working with a wide range of clientele along with working in hospice.
