I received my Bachelors Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in the Biological Basis of Behavior and competed on the Men's Varsity Swimming Team. After graduating and prior to medical school, I became a private high school science teacher. I completed my Psychiatry residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC, where I was selected as Chief Resident. During that time, I also completed a Psychodynamic Fellowship at New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. I then completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health with a focus on Depression and Anxiety.

Robert A. Herman, M.D., FAPA, received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at New York University-Bellevue Hospital Center in 1987 and completed psychoanalytic training at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1992. He was certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a Distinguished Life Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Herman has taught at New York University, Columbia University, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Dr. Fidelis Atianjoh is a licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He has a rich background in psychiatry both clinically and academically. He earned a PhD in Neuroscience (Howard University) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with special interest in Psychiatry. I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist with over 40 years of experience who does medication management and psychotherapy. I am adjunct faculty at St. Elizabeth's hospital with my wife, Deborah K. Ward, DCSW. We teach couples therapy and lead a process group. I have advanced training in Imago Relationship Therapy, family and individual therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Gestalt therapy.
