My mission is to help people find greater clarity, emotional well being, and physical health in a life of purpose and meaning. Providing care for people who suffer from mood or anxiety problems, or who have survived trauma, or who wonder about the meaning of their life. Care that applies current neuroscience findings, evidence based mindfulness practices, and psychotherapy, often in collaboration with other kinds of healers. Care that is about facing difficulties with clarity, and understanding them in ways that are helpful. Finding what works. Finding how to live well.
I provide diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology consulting and prescribing to adults. Evaluation includes attention to physical, psychological, and existential factors. Often people taking psychiatric medication wonder if or when or how they can discontinue them. I take an active interest in skillful de-prescribing.
