They may be dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression, and are looking for a safe and supportive space to explore their emotions and thoughts. They have a desire to better understand themselves, to develop greater self-awareness, and to create lasting change in their lives. They are motivated to work collaboratively with a therapist to achieve their mental health goals, and are excited to begin their journey towards growth and healing.

Dr. Apraku is welcoming new patients for video appointments. As a Board-certified M.D. psychiatrist, she specializes in providing psychiatric diagnostic assessments and treatment for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD and PTSD. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults. Before transitioning to my outpatient practice, I worked in a residential group home where I provided psychiatric care for adolescents in DCF custody. My additional work experience includes inpatient pediatric psychiatric care, PHP (partial hospitalization program), emergency room consultation and MCPAP (Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Program).

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

Hello! I am currently accepting new patients as of 1/14/2022. All visits are through telemedicine, so I can see anyone in the state of Massachusetts. My love for what I do in psychiatry, comes from the joy I get in helping others improve their lives. Most of my patients do not know which direction to go when then come to me, and that is ok. Some people come to me looking for second or third opinions about diagnosis or medications, some people are referred by a therapist to start medication. We can openly discuss decisions and options. I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

I am a psychiatrist trained in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My practice has been directed at individuals who have difficulty finding satisfaction in both their work and love lives despite having achieved considerable success in their professions. I have been seeing individuals and couples for over 30 years and I am experienced with providing combined therapy, including medication and psychotherapy. I work with patients from 1x/week to 4x/week depending on the patient's need for more or less intensive therapy. While the past as a determinant of the present is acknowledged the work is done in the here and now.

Hi! I am a family nurse practitioner with a masters degree in mental health counseling and provide therapy/ medications. I use a very client-centered approach. I have a strong belief that the mind and body are highly integrated and that physical and mental treatment are inseparable. For this reason, clients have the option of participating in a new model of treatment. This would include exercising during therapy sessions - brisk or slow walking on treadmills or Stairmaster at the client's comfort level. Of course, regular counseling and/or medication prescriptions are provided for those not interested in combining exercise.
