The goal of my practice is helping people get their lives back. Restoring mental health can be a tricky road to navigate, but with perseverance and treatment, change is possible. I enjoy working with people, and from long years of experience, have a good sense of what it takes to help my patients return to productive, healthy lives. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry. Dr. David Schopick primarily serves New Hampshire, southern Maine and northern Massachusetts, but is also available for telemedicine appointments.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience working within the mental health field. Prior to becoming a PMHNP through MGH Institute of Health Professions, I earned a master’s degree in social work from Boston University. After recognizing the needs of the community and my patients, I decided to expand my scope of practice. I am currently employed at Community Empowerment Services, where our mission is to empower individuals and families to reach their full potential.

As a lead nurse practitioner during the pandemic times of isolation, quarantine, and minimal social events, I observed and treated the immediate, short-term impacts of COVID-19 and grew an interest in understanding the long-term mental health impacts of the pandemic, especially among marginalized groups of people.

I am a board certified Psychiatric- Mental Health as well as Family Nurse Practitioner. After working in several outpatient and inpatient facilities for almost two decades, I’ve developed a holistic approach in managing clients. I offer mental health management for individuals across the lifespan. These services include initial psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, second-opinions, and medication management for disorders including anxiety, trauma, mood and psychotic disorders. Beth Hawkins, RN, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. For the last 15 years Beth has been a practicing NP specializing in cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital and was inspired to obtain a second master's degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst in advanced practice mental health nursing upon noting the lack of access to pediatric psychiatric professionals with the expertise to support the mental health needs of her cardiac patients.

Mental health concerns are increasing rapidly in the past few years due to social media, the pandemic and recent tragedies. I have years of experience assessing and treating individuals with mental illness throughout their lifespan. Rosevelt Nwokeji RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with Safe Harbor Psychiatry in Newbury MA. Prior to graduating with his NP degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions Rosevelt worked as a psychiatric registered nurse in a variety of settings: adult day programs, Mcclean Hospital on alcohol and drug detox unit to name a few. In addition to his work with Safe Harbor Psychiatry, Rosevelt also works for for the Department of Mental Health in an inpatient psychiatric forensic hospital treating extremely high acuity patients struggling with mood and psychotic disorders.
