Combining Science with Kindness is what drew me to psychiatry and is the cornerstone of my practice. After graduating from Brown Medical School, I completed my psychiatry training at UCSF. I have been practicing psychiatry for over 30 years. I currently treat veterans at the Oakland VA Clinic and teach medical students at UCSF. I am proficient at treating Anxiety/Panic Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression, ADHD, Addiction, and Trauma. My practice is primarily focused on pharmacologic treatment though I always view my patients through a holistic lens. The engine of my practice is curiosity and compassion.
Beyond my experience and knowledge, I care deeply about my patients and I am always striving to fully understand what they are going through. I view treatment as a shared journey and as an active collaboration. I enjoy working with other therapists to build an integrative team. I am a deep optimist and I have great faith in the power of human resilience.
