I am a board certified psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who has worked with adults in private practice for 25 years. In therapy we might discuss issues in your relationships or work that are difficult, painful, sensitive, or that you've never discussed with anyone else. The goal is that you rework old narratives and bring these insights into your lived experience outside the therapy relationship.

Psychoanalytic therapy has many benefits. It can alleviate emotional suffering, improve self awareness and ability to regulate emotions, enhance the capacity to form and maintain close relationships, strengthen decision making capacity and a sense of agency in life, increase work and sexual fulfillment, and help you grieve past losses.

I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. Psychiatric medication is beneficial when there is a personal or family history of mood and anxiety disorders. Medication treatment, when indicated, often enhances the therapeutic process.
