I specialize in medication management for Anxiety Disorders (OCD, PTSD, Social Anxiety), Depression, ADHD, Mood Disorders (Bipolar and Schizophrenia), and SUD.

I have been working in Mental Health since 2011, first as an inpatient psychiatric RN and now as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have practiced as a nurse practitioner in VA hospitals as a psychiatric consultation liaison and at VA community-based outpatient clinics. That’s just a fancy way of saying I have experience working as an inpatient and outpatient clinician. In addition, I have experience working in community mental health, mostly working with clients on Medicaid, many with substance abuse issues. As my well-rounded experience suggests, I respect and enjoy working with clients from all walks of life.

Hello, I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in Louisville, Kentucky. I work with patients with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar and Mood Spectrum, Schizophrenia, PTSD, Eating Disorders, and Panic Disorders. I also welcome anyone in the LGBTQ community.

I work with people who encounter frequent, strong emotions that they experience as problematic and then find themselves avoiding the life they want to live. My patients may struggle with intense anxiety and worry, distressing depression, or problems with focus, concentration, and productivity. We work together to remind you of your strengths, values, and goals and create a holistic plan that works for you. Instead of avoiding your life, you will learn to accept and tolerate your emotions and get back to doing the things that are meaningful for you.

I am a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. I've been in private practice in OH and KY for many years. My primary clinical focus is the treatment of ADHD, Mood Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety and Depression. My primary goal as a physician is to work with patients to establish and implement the treatment plan that best suits them and their families. I am proud to treat my patients who started as patients when they were children, who now also bring their children to me for treatment.

Autumn Shutt is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and offers medication management for adults and adolescents ages 14 and older at Bloom Counseling + Wellness Studio. Her areas of interest include women's mental health, perinatal mood disorders, depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She has specialized training including Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychopharmacology through Postpartum Support International and is a certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider.

I have been a registered nurse since 2015. My experience as bedside nurse in the hospital made me realize how important mental health is in treating patients holistically. My knowledge and experience motivated me to focus on a critical area in a person’s life that is often overlooked. I believe your feelings, emotions, and thoughts are valid. Although I am a newly graduated board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, together we can focus on building a better version of you. Your treatment plan will be guided by evidence base practice and the latest clinical guidelines. Please know I do not prescribe benzodiazepines.

Brenda Smith is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse. She has over 6 years of experience in the field of psychiatry and mental health including inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to practicing in psychiatry, she worked as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting for 20 years. She received her master's degree in nursing from Northern Kentucky University. She is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
