I am a board certified family psychiatric /mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with prescriptive privileges. I graduated from Adelphi University, cum laude, with a BSN and earned my MS, NP from Stony Brook University, where I was awarded distinction for Overall Excellence in Psychiatric/Mental Health and inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
I have experience working in a “trauma level 1” emergency department, inpatient, outpatient and emergency psychiatry, with adolescents at a local children’s psychiatric center and a school based clinic. I have also acted as a consultant for a local PROS program and for the 9/11 World Trade Center Health Program, treating first responders and their families.
While working medically in the ED, I realized, although most people are anatomically symmetrical, the human mind is what makes us unique. Let’s work together to reach your treatment goals. I offer evaluations and follow ups in person and follow ups via telehealth, when clinically appropriate.
