Hi :) I am Katherine Jefferson, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama, where I completed my Master's Degree in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While pursuing my master's degree, I worked as a registered nurse in a neurological and trauma intensive care unit at UAB Hospital for over five years. I later worked as a travel nurse at Saint Anthony Hospital in Colorado.
My experience includes working with clients with mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorders), anxiety disorders, ADHD, and those going through life changes and transitions. I currently see Children, Adolescents, and Adults.
My practice revolves around creating a comprehensive plan of care that works for you and your lifestyle. Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to you and your needs. I emphasize a holistic treatment plan using evidence-based options including medications and other therapeutic interventions.
