There is an old saying that goes, "The one who has experienced it, knows it." I see this saying as being true. Therefore, I seek to understand how you are feeling in an effort to help achieve your mental health goals. I work with clients with a variety of mental health issues, including ADHD, substance use, schizophrenia, mood, and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Carder has been practicing for over 20 years in general adult psychiatry. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has a certification in Elder Law. She has advanced training in psychopharmacology which she earned with distinction. She received her medical degree from the University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Life Sciences. She completed her internship with the Department of Family medicine and completed her residency with Department of Psychiatry both at the University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Life Sciences.

Stephanie treats patients ages 6 years and older. Stephanie Carson is an advanced practice nurse practitioner since 2001. Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, she also was awarded the Indiana Public Health Association's Innovative Program Award and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Previous experience includes serving as manager of health and wellness centers practicing in primary care, urgent care and worksite wellness, and as inpatient family nurse practitioner for St. Vincent Hospital adult mental health unit.

I believe that our mental health is the most important thing we have in this world, and I want to help as many people as I can. My goal is to improve access to mental health treatment.

Do you wonder if medication is the appropriate next step for you? I would like to help you figure that out. I often meet people who have either been on medication before and want to make adjustments or are currently taking something and wonder if it is right for them or are completely new to it. You do not have to figure it out on your own. I primarily see teenagers to adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and bipolar disorder.

Jimmy Chenowith is a Nurse Practitioner in Indiana who has been practicing since 2022. He received his Associate's degree in Nursing from Midlands Technical College in South Carolina in 2007. Jimmy went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Western Governors University in 2014, and later completed his Master's degree in nursing in 2021. Jimmy has been practicing as an RN for 17 years prior to becoming an NP. He feels this experience is invaluable and provides a foundation that is unique in its own way.
