I have been working in a psychiatric setting for a few years now. I have experienced in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Shalom is a board-certified advanced practitioner with Full Practice Authority (FPA). He has worked in various behavioral health Hospitals since past 15 years in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient, managing care from adolescents with autism to older adults with dementia. His expertise lies in listening to patients and astute ability to develop a care plan/medication management cultured to each patient needs. Everyone is different and should be treated as such. Kara has a specialty in women’s health and understands the specific mental health challenges that affect women differently. She can help women navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, intrapartum mental health, and post-partum depression. Kara offers skills in active listening, motivational interviewing, medication management, and counseling. She offers a unique approach in treatment through utilization of the patient’s faith and spirituality. Kara is also passionate about working with first responders and the challenges that relate to being a caregiver and working in the field of medicine.
