Hi, I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Washington D.C. I received my Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Walden University Minnesota. I have been practicing for 5 years. I help clients across the lifespan to feel better, have self-confidence, understand themselves, and unlock their potential.
The client’s first visit with me as a provider is critical because it has the potential to shape attitudes and behaviors that foster and strengthen my relationship with the client. The first few minutes of an initial patient-provider encounter are important for establishing trust and rapport.
For 5 years, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping mentally challenged clients. I developed tools to assist my clients with feeling cared about by a provider, sensing clear accountability from the health system regarding who is responsible for overseeing their care.
