Dr. Heather Mak is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She received her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed her Internship & residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Before joining the outpatient psychiatry team at CareMind Health/Mindoula Clinical Services, Dr. Mak worked as a Staff Psychiatrist for the San Diego Amer. Indian Health Center and for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Mak has held a Faculty position with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Mak is currently a Navy Reserve Officer.
Dr. Mak evaluates and manages patients virtually via telehealth, and has expertise in treating adults with a wide variety of conditions including ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders, among others. She is accepting new patients and is licensed to provide care to patients residing in MD, DC, VA & NC
Most insurances are accepted for patients living in MD, DC, and VA, including Kaiser and Medicaid. For North Carolina patients, Dr. Mak is only accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina, Medicare, and private pay at this time. Please contact our offices to schedule an appointment with Dr. Mak
