I knew from my first day of my psychiatric clinical rotation during my junior year of nursing school that I wanted to commit my career to helping people with their mental health problems. I realized I found a true joy in sitting with individuals experiencing a crisis and helping others battling a myriad of issues. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, before completing a Master of Science in Nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After obtaining nearly a decade of clinical practice, I return to Emory to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing.

Shanea is a highly motivated board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has 16+ years of clinical nursing experience. She specializes in treating adolescents and adults with mild to moderate mental health conditions. As a nurse practitioner she can diagnose and treat many mental health disorders in hopes of producing the best possible outcomes. He is the service director of Partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Peachford Hospital where patients are engage in various therapy groups lead by expert therapists 7 days a week. Patients are seen by him within 24-48 hours of starting the program. Patient can stay at the lodge Dr. Mehdi has strong expertise in Mood Disorders, anxiety disorder and psychosis related disorders and substance abuse relapse prevention. He also try to integrate medications with a naturalistic approach in treatment of psychiatric disorder.
