We are two psychiatrists and child psychiatrists: Isaac George Isaac, MD and George Isaac, MD, who provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for children and adults, including senior citizens. We understand the need for excellent psychiatric evaluations, so the problems could be understood well and effective treatment could be provided from the get go, rather than rushed inadequate evaluations resulting in improper understanding resulting in confused treatment and months or years of wasted time and un-necessary suffering.

As a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with over 12 years of experience, I understand that mental health challenges can have a profound impact on physical health, well-being, and relationships. These impairments can significantly affect all aspects of life. This is why I firmly believe that comprehensive access to psychiatry and mental health care is crucial for achieving optimal health, stability, and regaining control of your life.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in the specialty of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Across the Life Span. I have extensive clinical experience in multiple areas, including crisis stabilization units, emergency departments, and outpatient settings. I manage psychiatric issues, including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and other mood and personality disorders.

My philosophy on treating mental health is understanding that mental health problems do not define a person, but rather are experiences that shape an individual, and can be managed in order to live the best life possible. I focus on implementing both medication and therapeutic interventions to target the underlying causes of mental health disorders.

Accepting New Clients. Appointments are typically available within 7 days. We offer Medication Management, Counseling/Psychotherapy, and Neuropsychological Testing in our network of clinics and online via our Telepsychiatry Services throughout Florida. Our team of experienced mental health professionals includes Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Certified Physician Assistants, and Licensed Therapists. We care for adults, adolescents, and children, ages 5 and above. We accept most insurance plans including Medicare.

My aim is to identify the factors contributing to the problems you are seeking help for, and to work with you in solving these problems. I am a board certified psychiatrist, who prior to moving to Tampa, was an attending and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I am experienced in providing evidence-based psychopharmacological treatments for a wide range of psychiatric conditions.

My primary focus is on the patient and their mental and physical well being. My philosophy is that the patient is a person who comes to me related to mental health issues. The patient is an individual person that requires an individual treatment plan and medication management.

Dr. Thorkelson is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at The University of Pittsburgh. He completed his adult residency training at Temple University and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at The University of Pittsburgh where he continued on in three roles: as Associate Medical Director at the Center for Integrative Medicine, as staff psychiatrist at the John Merck Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders, and through the Visceral Inflammation and Pain (VIP) Center in the Department of Gastroenterology. Dr. Thorkelson specializes in the treatment of anxiety, autism, ADHD, and depression.

Pragnesh Patel, MD, is a Florida licensed Board-certified General/Adult Psychiatrist. He served as lead resident in department of Medicine at East Tennessee State University in 2015. He serves as a Medical Director at Instic Health. Dr Patel has developed standards to offer better care to patients. Instic Health is an outpatient psychiatric practice providing outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment across FL.
