Welcome to my practice! I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I offer medication, diagnosis and evaluation, and other treatment options such as talk therapy. I treat a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders, insomnia, ADHD, eating disorders, and women’s mental health, with a particular focus on the perinatal period.

I am passionate about quickly identifying and implementing strategies to help you notice results soon. I completed 8 years of Psychiatric training including 4 years at Royal London Hospital UK followed by Residency at SUNY Downstate Hospital , New York and a fellowship year at UF Gainesville . I treat most Paychiatric issues and specialize in Moor disorders, ADHD, Anxiety and depressive issues . I provide care in a confidential and caring manner . I formulate a treatment plan that is tailored to the needs and wishes of each patient. I help my patients achieve their goals and aspirations and bring positive changes in their lives .

I am a board certified psychiatrist and an esteemed Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Fellow of American Psychiatric Association. I am fully trained in Adult, Child and Adolescent, Geriatric, Emergency and Addiction Psychiatry. I received my general and adult psychiatry training at University of Maryland/ Sheppard Pratt and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training from Johns Hopkins Medical Institution. I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist with a specialty in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and I have more than 20 years of experience. I am currently in my 4th year at the Florida Psychoanalytic Institute studying to become a psychoanalyst. Many people who find themselves in repetitive unhealthy situations often with symptoms of depression or anxiety can benefit from either psychotherapy or medication and often the combination. I can treat those problems but the decision of how is a collaboration between the patient and the therapist.

Dr. Krakower is an Associate Professor in Psychiatry at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and formerly served as Unit Chief of Psychiatry at Northwell Health / Zucker Hillside Hospital. He is internationally recognized for his work with patients suffering from trauma, anxiety, video gaming, head injuries, coronavirus recovery, and addiction. He has provided expert opinion for hundreds of studies worldwide. He is recognized as a top physician by SuperDoctors and was a group recipient of the the Catchers in the Rye Humanitarian Award.

I work with adults ages 18-64. I am passionate about women’s mental health, particularly around pregnancy/hormone/reproductive concerns, and I am certified in perinatal mental health. I have completed a fellowship in integrative mental health and incorporate non-medication treatment recommendations into my plans. Additionally, I specialize in treatment of trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety and OCD.

Gideon Matzkin, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist trained to diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions with medication management and psychodynamic therapy to enhance self understanding, relationships, and help patients maximize their own potential. Dr. Matzkin sees patients for individual therapy, medication management, along with consulting in collaborative care with physician practices at his private concierge psychiatry practice Attuned Psychiatry.
