Hi! I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I received my master's from Florida International University (FIU). I have been practicing as a PMHNP for 7 years. I have diagnosed and treated patients from all age groups and for most common psychiatric conditions such anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, ADHD, ASD, OCD, PTSD, and substance abuse( opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder in maintenance treatment). But under this platform, I will see patients from 13 years old to 65 and up.

I am a dual Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse practitioner with ample experience working in health care. I have a special interest in the overlap of mental and physical health. Becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner is my fourth career. I am a medical doctor from another country and after being re-inserted into the United States health system as a registered nurse and, subsequently, a family nurse practitioner, I had the opportunity to take care of and treat several people with mental health needs.

Maria Fernanda Antunez is a board certified, psychiatric mental nurse practitioner. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Regis College of Nursing from Boston, Massachusetts. She focuses on treating adult’s patients across the life span, while working alongside with families, and other health professionals. This is essential in forming a treatment plan that follows a holistic approach, with the overall goal of creating a more desirable quality of life. Maria Fernanda is easy to talk to and focuses on making sure you are heard. She will brainstorm ideas with you, develop a plan, and set goals.
