Katherine R. Rizzo, DO, graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Microbiology and Cell Science and from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Rizzo is a compassionate, caring physician who puts all her patients at ease. Confident in the latest techniques, theories and medication, Dr. Rizzo is an outstanding physician who was chosen as Chief Resident at the University of South Florida. While at USF she received clinical awards and served on several of USF's professional clinical committees. Dr. Rizzo is certified in NeuroStar Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Each patient has a unique set of needs and therefore requires a unique approach to achieve their individual mental health goals. Not every patient is a one size fits all approach. Often, creativity in care planning is necessary to give my patient the best intervention strategy that fits their life and their goals. Ultimately, we both want the same thing but getting there begins with a trusting, professional client/provider relationship. I want to ensure that my patients understand their treatments and are improving or maintaining stable mental health with treatment all while minimizing risks or further health deterioration.

I treat all psychiatric conditions for patients of all ages (2-99), specializing in mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, sexual problems and sleep disorders as well as emotional, behavioral, and Neuro-Psychiatric problems from ADHD to dementia. I have expertise in most sub-types of addiction treatment including(but not limited to): treatment for alcohol or drug dependence, sexual addictions, and gambling addictions. I am licensed to prescribe Suboxone (a tremendous advancement in the treatment of addiction to opiates).

I have a passion for helping people of various backgrounds. Whether transitional phases are work-related, personal, or social; it can cause us to become out of equilibrium. Small daily stressors can slowly deteriorate our wellbeing and my goal is to prevent the small problems from becoming serious ones. Dr. Zachary Zimko is a Licensed Osteopathic Physician in the state of Florida. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Delaware in 2012 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Minors in Medical Humanities, Medical Diagnostics, and Biology. He graduated from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016 with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. He graduated his Psychiatry Residency at Largo Medical Center in 2020 and was Chief Resident in his final year. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry through the AOA. He serves as Medical Director of PEMHS and is an Assistant Professor at USF Health, Morsani College of Medicine’s GME program.

Kevin Atwell is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who has a vast array of experience treating mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and insomnia issues. Kevin also had a variety of experiences prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse and nurse practitioner, such as being a youth counselor for adolescents with autism, an advocate for homeless women, and a direct support professional for men with developmental disabilities.
