Dr. DeSantis is a board certified psychiatrist in both general and geriatric psychiatry. He is originally from Reading, PA. He graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Erie, PA) in 2006. His medical internship was at Memorial Hospital in York, PA in 2006-07. His psychiatric residency was from 2007-10 at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (Stratford, NJ). His geriatric fellowship was in 2010-11 at Rowan University’s New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging (Stratford, NJ).

Tracey Rzepka is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychopharmacology. She provides management of psychiatric medications along with some therapy. She is great with clients on multiple medications and is able to get clients on the right medication or remodel them as needed or even wean clients off medication if desired. She has a background in general medicine and offers holistic care addressing the body, mind and spirit providing personal, compassionate care. Her visits are longer than most psychiatrists providing more time for counseling and support. Follow up visits are 30 minutes.

Dr. Welch is a graduate of medical school with five postdoctoral years of formal training in psychiatry, more than the usual, board-certified psychiatrist. He has additional, specialized training in diagnostics and has been asked to testify in a number of high profile court cases in recognition of his training and background. As a medical doctor and psychiatrist who provides sophisticated psychotherapy, Dr. Welch provides the highest level of diagnostic skills and medication expertise to patients who he comes to know quite well. A mental condition is never the result of one cause. The biopsychosocial treatment model was developed to address the interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors. While psychologists, LCSWs, or LMHCs are able to manage the psychological and social aspects of treatment, only a psychiatrist can assess and treat all three spheres. There may be underlying medical conditions that can present as psychiatric symptoms. Many mental conditions (depression/anxiety/ADHD) may require specific drugs that only an MD can provide.

My goal is to establish a practice where patients are able to have timely access to medication management and counseling services in an effort to help them persevere with ease.
