As a Psychiatric PA-C, I treat patients with the understanding that medical, psychological, and behavioral domains are all important in the management of mental health and its complex disorders. I consider it my duty to help my patients understand their symptoms and guide them through various methods of interventions with the goal to improve their quality of life. My treatment approach integrates management of sleep, diet, physical activity, general medical health, and behavior changes. I believe this to be vital for long-term alleviation of mental health disorders.
My expertise lies in medicine and psychopharmacology and I am grateful to work at an integrated mental health practice where my patients have access to psychotherapy and counseling services. I believe medication works best when combined with therapy and this approach has allowed me to treat the whole individual and not simply the constellation of symptoms.
Patients in my care can expect 30 minute medication management appointments tailored to their unique needs. I strive to provide education and recommendations for medications, but the patient chooses their treatment direction.
