I am a Doctoral prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (DNP, APRN) specializing in Psychiatry and Mental Health for more than 22 years. I hold two National Board Certifications by the ANCC in the specialties of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my career in nursing included working in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit where I gained a strong foundation and experience in medical practice. My psychiatric experiences include working in inpatient and outpatient facilities. I provide psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy to clients of all ages.
I manage psychiatric issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and other mood and personality disorders. My patients receive a comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluation. Follow up visits include medication management with brief/supportive psychotherapy.
I listen to patients and respect their insight in deciding on a course of treatment tailored to patient’s specific needs, I am committed to helping my patients achieve lasting mental wellness. My goal for my patients is to have them feel comfortable and safe with me while working together towards their mental wellness.
