I am an experienced psychiatrist who is Harvard trained in Reproductive Psychiatry and the cofounder of Nest Psychiatry, PLCC dedicated to women's mental health. I have expertise in preconception planning and in the treatment of psychiatric disorders during fertility challenges, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. I am trained to discuss in detail risks pertaining to medications in pregnancy and lactation while also considering the risks of illness. I believe in a comprehensive approach for those seeking a one-time perinatal consultation or wanting to establish care during this critical period.
I have over a decade of experience as an educator and clinician in women's mental health having been faculty at Yale University, Harvard Medical School and currently as an Associate Professor at USF where I help train the next generation of psychiatrists in this field.
I understand that the decision to pursue treatment during the perinatal period can be complicated by conflicted data and opinions and my goal is to support you with expertise and empathy. I am accessible, have a casual approach and aim for you to feel connected and valued.
